This can be solved by going a bit out of the box and using brackets & factorials.
3! + (3+1)! = 30
where,
n! = n factorial = product of all natural numbers less than and equal to n
Therefore, 3! = 1x2x3 = 6
and
(3+1)! = 4! = 1x2x3x4 = 24
=> 3! + (3+1)! = 6+24 = 30
